Two layers of thick leather plus a PediFoam insert for ultimate protection. Easy to put on and remove velcro straps. Ideal for indoor & outdoor use. To clean shoes, use a baby wipe or a damp cloth. This will remove even the most stubborn dirt and stains. We do not recommend machine washing your PediPeds baby shoes.

Pediatricians and Podiatric Physicians Recommend:
-Flexible sole. The sole of the shoe should be thick enough for protection while allowing the foot to move as naturally as possible. Bend the shoe at the ball. It should bend easily.
-Non-Slip sole. Traction is important, too, so check the texture of the sole to make sure it provides adequate traction.
-Deep, wide toe box. Young toes are chubby and need plenty of room to wiggle. A tight toe box is best avoided, as it squeezes the toes together and can cause bunions and other deformities.
-Soft, breathable non-toxic leather upper. Avoid plastic or imitation leather, or shoes that can cause excessive sweating.
-Exercise. Children need lots of activity and exercise. Provide an opportunity for baby to crawl, kick, cruise or walk whenever he can.
